Topic: Filament build-up on extruder

I just attempted to print for the first time on my new Solidoodle, but I experienced extreme build-up of the filament on the extruder (see attached image), as the filament would not stick to the printer bed. The printer bed was heated to 100 degrees C, and the extruder was heated to 200 degrees C, so I don't think temperature was an issue. Any ideas what the most likely causes of the problem could be? Thanks.

^^ +1

If temps were good then it was probably z tab adjustment or bed leveling needs to be corrected assuming that the bed is clean.

+1 Also clean the bed with acetone. This will help make the ABS stick to the bed better.

Ah, thank you very much. That sticky in the Help/Repair/Maintenance section is very helpful, and I'll be sure to check out the entire section more thoroughly in the coming weeks. I appreciate it.
