Topic: confused as ever...

I have seen on line that some printers are coming with multiple spool colors and are able to print in multicolor?

I have also seen on youtube that some one bothered to make a triple feed wades head.

Is the 3d printing world progressing to the point of multicolor printing similar to a deskjet printer?  Or is it still a smeared blending?

I am an open book, write on my pages that I may learn the wisdom that you posses.

It won't be deskjet style, as there's a transition zone where colors will mix - you can't get sharp edges.

Printing with filament is a smeared blending kind of thing.  Full color inkjet style printing is possible.  One way is done by Zcorp printers which spray a binder into powder, and include some ink in the process.  The other is actual inkjet printing in the case of Mcor.  Mcor Iris builds objects by layering sheets of paper and cutting outlines.  It gets color by printing on the paper along where the outlines will be cut.
