Topic: We need a mascot!

I am tired of the MakerBot mascot. We need one of our own send into battle. Ideas?

SD3 w/ mods:
Glass bed with QU-BD heat pad upgrade, threadless ballscrew w/ 8mm smooth rod, spectra line belt replacement, lawsy MK5 extruder, Lawsy replacement carriage, E3D hotend, Ramps 1.4 w/ reprap discount controller, DRV8825 drivers, 12v 30A PS, Acrylic case, Overkill Y-idlers, Filament alarm, Extruder fan + more.

lol, I like it. I was just thinking that it had to be something that wasn't pretty but functional.

It has to be presented this way as well, in acknowledgement of the limitations of FDM.

Lucasfilm (Disney) would have a problem with that mascot, but that's the idea- ugly, functional, boxlike.   I'm sure Solidoodle would prefer a mascot that reflects their aspirations, rather than reality.

Nothing wrong with having a solid product that is functional and low cost even if it is a bit homely. I would be proud of a product that doesn't need a fancy paint job to kick ass. However, I think the community developed mods make it kick ass.

The community keeps stepping in to deal with shortcomings that Solidoodle won't address, so it would be cool if the we came up with a de facto mascot for them that we feel properly represents the printer.  Maybe there could be a happy version and a sad version you can put in your sig to represent the kind of day your printer has been having.

I am thinking along the lines of a picture or a bear charging at you and a picture of a steak. That is SD before and after the mods.
