I've written this explanation for PhotoToMesh users (V3 and V4) of how to smooth an image into a cylinder without having the rectangle of the image visible as a border in the cylinder:

thanks , i'll give it a go.

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.
