Topic: Where to buy small screws, rods, nuts?

So, I'm wondering where a good place is to buy small screws and nuts like those used in toys.  I have a few ideas that will likely need assembling, and it seems like getting an idea of where to get this stuff would be good.  Seems like home depot doesn't carry small enough screws, and I wouldn't think places like Michaels would carry something like that.  There is always the good ole internet, but sometimes you want to be able to look through the options in person, and if you don't know what size you want, it's hard to do a search I think.  :\

Any ideas?

McMaster-Carr works for me. EZ to order online. Nice selection. Reliable. Perhaps not the cheapest in town. Always like the quality though. Good luck.

Amazon has some basic collections that are decent quality.  Just search "screw assortment" and look for related items.

Disassemble an old computer and use the screws, nuts, etc from that. I have a ton of vitamins from old machines.

I just got my 5mm rod cut to 200mm and some nuts from local fastener store (used by manufacturers) for $3
