Topic: SD2 switching materials

Right, I just ordered a SD2 Pro model. Can't wait! However, I heard from someone that I should get spare hotends, one for each type of material I use. Is this necessary? Is there I should do before switching from ABS to PLA or vice versa? Thanks.

SD2 w/ Heated bed. Mods: E3D MK5, Lawsy MKV, Glass Bed, printed filament stand

just a spare so you won't be down 2 or 3 weeks if it breaks.

Thats why I plan to only use PLA... Longer nozzle life, no need for swiching, an ok for the planet! And anyway my parts will only be for design mock ups. But I will run the woodlike stuff on occasion...

It looks like my sd2 expt will ship next week.. smile
