Topic: Why choose an sd2 over an sd3?

Hi, I've ordered an sd3 but since ordering i have seen many people order an sd2 model. I just wondered why whether its just down to cost or whether its for technical purposes?

Cheers

I guess its just the cost, the SD3 is just making bigger items.

I like the enclosure, and the size of the SD2 is just right for my prototypes...

If you would want to make objects around the max size of the SD2 bed, I would recommend actually getting the SD3 instead.

Ok thanks guys (i am presuming you are all blokes)

I originally was going to order the two colour makerbot replicator 2x but was put off by the "experimental" part of the description. As I have learned so much more from this forum it sounds like most are in this bracket but at least solidoodle is far less money... Has anyone come across someone using a cube tri colour system? Would love to see that demonstrated!

I ordered a S2 Pro because of money, though the extra print space would be nice.
