Topic: Spare Parts?

So, my SD3 just shipped and now I'm wanting to get some spare parts so I don't end up out of commission in the first week like some of the horror stories.  I plan on printing the MK4 extruder parts, and x-axis fan mount.  Actually, that second one brings me to my real question. 

I plan on ordering 2 40mm fans from qu-bd.  One for the x-axis, and one for a future extruder fan.  Since that's only $4 worth of parts, I was wondering if there are any other parts that I should order from them because they may fail quickly/often on the SD3 (I'm thinking power resistor/cartridge heater and thermistor).  Is it worth getting a new power supply, or is the SD standard sufficient for most things?

Get a extra groove mount PEEK, 32mm brass barrel and tip for 1.75mm filiment
Also an  Kapton tape, extruder heater  and  Thermistor

You can get 40mm fans on eBay for 99cents

If I'm going with glass and hairspray, do I still need the Kapton tape?

What is the purpose of that 32mm brass barrel (i.e., where is it on the printer)?

It goes between the peek and  tip.  People seem to snap them a lot.
