Topic: new tool for sharing stl 3D designs

I have just started learning about 3D printing mostly reading a variety of blogs but have been working with CAD (hobby) for a while. It seemed strange to me that the blog posts would talk about designs and show pictures but there were no embedded 3D models. I made this tool to change that, as I think it could make design descriptions more effective. Obviously it could be used in other way such as sharing designs with your friends, ect. I stand to make no money from this, I just built it as a hobby and wanted to see if it could be useful to anyone.

The page seems legit. But do you get like a personal page with all your designs on it? Ie photo bucket? Or do you just have to remember the url?

you have to remember the url currently. I am trying to see if there is enough interest in 3D model hosting and if there is I will make it more full scale (logins, collections of your models, ect.). Right now it is most useful for linking other people to your models and embedding them in blogs with html iframes (have to be able to edit the html).

Right now it seems to be a very basic imgur meets thingaverse. I like the idea, but it's going to have to be a bit more robust to take off.

ok it should work. Let me know how if it does now. Sorry for all the trouble/confusion. Aside from functionality would you say its

1. totally useless (other existing tools better perhaps)
2. maybe there will be a use for it one day
3. wow I could totally picture myself using this!
4. There is something I need this for right now
5. I am literally using it now.

Somewhere around 2 and 3. It certainly appears quickly, faster than the online G-code viewer I use. And certainly more convenient than requiring a G-code file. Maybe there are some problems with my STL files, but I am seeing some false polygons in places, or some weird shading behavior or something.

It is certainly a promising start!
