Topic: Here to further development on BYOP 3D Scanner for 3D Copying

This forum is great, so much content. I have had fun reading a small section of it recently and decided it was time to stop reading and add to the discussion.

I would love to hear from anyone else interested in 3d printing their own components, and using a Raspberry Pi to construct a %100 DIY 3d scanner capable of producing HD scans of objects to STL file.

The project I would like to base mine off of, is the Atlas3d, which conveniently already has a home here on Soliforum, and a Git which I can fork off of (FreeLSS). Its a huge undertaking, and while I would love to claim to be able to solo this, any help would certainly be appreciated!

Even if you arent interested in contributing to the project -- Would you be interested in 3d printing your own 3d scanner?

It would involve working with sensitive electronic components, and assembling based off instructional forum posts and in time, videos.
