Topic: Printing miniatures on 1.0 pro

Hi.

I'm trying to print miniatures on my DaVinci 1.0 pro and I'm having trouble with getting them smooth. Can anybody suggest what settings to use?
I added a picture of my result. It has a layer of paint on it, but I can't get a good photo without it, because right now I only have transparent PLA.
Also I added the stl file and what settings I used.

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Printing miniatures on 1.0 pro

You need a layer cooling fan. If you can't get one, then you need to print multiple items at a time so the previous layer has a bit of time to cool before another layer is put on it. Your model is staying too hot and that is what the major issue is.  The final issue is the fact the machine is a Da Vinci and in stock form you have very little control to find tune it.

It is possible it may not even be able to print something that small. You need a very well tuned machine to print very small features.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

There is a  lower limit to the size of miniatures one can print on an fdm machine.
Can you change to a smaller nozzle?
