It has been raining whole week last week, I didn't want to run the Filastruder inside the garage. Finally, good sunny weather, I can run the Filastruder in open area in my backyard. This is the first time to extrude plastic with Filastruder, everything seems to running fine but the pellet is overflow from the open area of the hopper, is this normal? It seems to be normal, because the level of pellet inside the soft drink bottle is a lot higher than the open area of the hopper. What is the reason for the open area in the hopper?

Tim,
I turned around the hopper which fixed the overflow problem, no longer an issue.
Attached are the pictures for before and after the hopper is turned around. The soft drink bottle opening should be toward the front nozzle, when the auger turns not pushing the pellet upward if the open end is facing to the back of the machine.
