Topic: XYZ DaVinci Jr. Pro Firmware downgrade

To whom it may concern,
    I recently updated my Jr. Pro to 1.1.12 and now it will not work with my version of xyzware pro and my computer is not compatible with xyzprint.  Does anyone have a copy of 1.0.9 or older firmware so I can reverse the firmware on my printer?  If you do I would greatly appreciate it.

Somebody can correct me, but from I have seen unless you have the capability to add as in solder in the JTAG port back on the mainboard you cannot revert the firmware. Such a task has to be done through JTAG or if your board has the reset jumper you might be able to do it through BOSSAC or a similar program. The Jr series are very different from the older 1.0 and AIO. The boards and processors are totally different.

I was going to follow the instructions at this website and see if I am able to do it.  I am able to put the printer into bootloader mode, so it might work.  Does anyone have 1.0.9 firmware downloaded that they are willing to share.

If you are considering following a JR instructable. I think you should take a look at http://www.soliforum.com/topic/17766/ho … cartridge/ instead of the one you listed. You are still going to need a copy of the firmware, but it is straight forward. I have actually done this on a dead board I have and it did come back.

The bootloader mode most likely will not work, but feel free to try. It will not brick your printer even it will not work. See attachment for firmware 1.0.9 from xyzprinting.

We don't have flash dump for Da Vinci Jr Pro, so don't try the jumper pin reset method, the best out come is you turn your Jr. Pro to an Jr., or brick your printer.
