Topic: Multicolored Printing

It occurred to me that it maybe as long as hours with some prints before a second or third color is used, and it isn't good to have an extruder on unless it is in use or else a clog might develop. How do multi color machines deal with that?

Also what special format accommodates colors?

You assume that the design is going to start on a specific layer when the colours could be called upon at any given time.

If you want to know, then I suggest watching some Youtube videos on multi-colour printing.
