Topic: XYZ da vinci filament shortage?

Has anyone noticed the shrinking availability of basic PLA filament for the da vinci Mini and Jr. series?  The XYZ store only has 2 colors and I cant find a solid red anywhere.  Even if there are there other filament options that work with these printers, how do you handle the spool chip that indicates your out of filament?

OK-I'm reading up on the filament spool chip hack, but really... Can't I just buy some filament?

search xyzprinting filament on amazon, i only see clear red, not solid red, and few other colors, they are expensive, but have more choices than 2 color.

all have xyzprinting filament avalible, and more than two color PLA for jr. and miniMaker.

I only ordered from amazon and bhphotovideo about one year ago and they works on my jr.

I think xyzprinting filament have limited choice of filament color and material type and more importantly to me, not strong enough. I have to reprint them after a few month. Last time I order them is about one year ago when I was still newbie. Filament spool chip hack definitely worth the effort.

Thanks everyone. I'll check out some of the other suppliers that I wasn't aware of. I've already got every roll BHPhoto has, but newegg and bestbuy will be good options.

Bozo: I haven't figured out the spool chip hack yet. Just got my printer on-line last week!

Paper tags will make you life much easier. It is a simple process.
