I have a makerbot replicator 2x that has over 3000 hours run time and I have been having leveling problems
so after talking to Carl i Bought them. ( metal ones from china). They have made a difference the I had to raise the left platform bracket about .040 thousands to make it go into the angel.
They were worth the money!!

Glad they worked. I put some on mine from a company in the states called P3-d.com . But mine where aluminum and solved the issue I had with one side of the bed being too low to level with the adjusters.

Any machine with time wears out and parts begin to fail. Release quality has nothing to do with long term quality. The print platform is made of plastic and wood or laminate and we all know over time both of those tend to warp. Ad high temps and it just makes the problem worse. As he said he had 3000 hours on his before adding them and I had like 2000 on mine which is a clone.
And no Makerbot is a quality machine, but not high quality. The company I used to work for has three in their engineering lab. Two work great, but one has the service tech out once every other month for issues. Yes they paid for the service contract. One of the others also arrived with a damaged print head bit the tech came out and fixed that within 24 hours.
If somebody takes the time to make and sell a part, then the issue must be in high enough numbers to offset their cost of creating the parts. Especially if they still sell the part 5 years on after I bought mine.
Still have a long way to go but here is my first print after adding brackets, Updated firmware,
set up and started using Simplify 3D.

Still seems to have some leveling issue, or wrapped bed. the top bed is closer than the middle of the last image, but the bottom is somewhere in between.
3000 hours is about 4.16 month 24/7 printing, maybe 6 month on and off printing?
I work 40 to 60 hours a week and do family things a lot of weekends so It may run 2 weekends a month.
on average I have had the printer for about 4 years.

Ok, quality issue after 4 years are very reasonable. If no other major surgery and last for four years, I think it is quality machine.
