Topic: Anyone with a Filastruder in northern Vermont?
I have a lot of failed prints that I would love to recycle rather than discard. Anyone reasonably close to Burlington Vermont who might want to take the plastic off my hands?

you may want to contact filabot they are in Barre about 50 minutes drive.

I did contact FilaBot. They sent me to a recycler in New Jersey. They were not helpful. They seem more interested in selling hardware than in recycling filament.
well that s a bit unfortunate!!
No one with a Filastruder in northern New England wants my PLA? How sad!
They wouldn't just need a Filastruder, they'd need a shredder too. The latter takes a long time to pay for itself (~200kg+)
Ah. Live is never simple, is it? Well, my intentions are pure...
takes lot of work to pelletize the material.
what grade of PLA is it? 4043D? 4032D? 3001D? 3D850?
No idea how to answer your question. I purchased it all through Ultimachine. A variety of colors, but all from the same vendor.
Looks like This is Natureworks PLA4043D
How many KG's of material are you looking to part with?
Something like 33 pounds
Are any of the prints crushed? I ask because if they are still in printed form, putting 33 lbs of prints in a box and shipping it is not very practical. If they are not, it might actually cost more to ship that, then buying virgin plastic from my supplier. It's a shame with it becomes too expensive to recycle than make new....
I recycle a lot of failed prints. But most of my 20lb buckets are from my own failed attempts.
I could crush them with a sledge. Not sure how small I could get the volume to be. Where are you located?
Wisconsin, its a pretty long way from Vermont
