Topic: Filament Spools with Filament say 0m

I know similar issues have been brought up here, but I'm not sure they are talking about what I am experiencing.

I have a Da Vinci Mini, and I use the CLear Blue PLA filament in 200m rolls. At least that's what the Mini says when I start a new roll.

I now have 3 rolls that have (I think) a pretty good amount of filament left, at least good enough for one print, like a 12m one. I know it's a little tricky because when there's less left, there's REALLY less left because it wraps around the center "quicker". Still I swear there's enough for one last print, and certainly it's not 0m.

Because the Mini say 0m, it doesn't let me even try to print anything. How can I get the Mini to at least try?

("Inner" questions: does the circuit in the roll simply give a serial number, and the Mini itself remembers the usage for each roll, or is the usage stored on the roll?)

I get the Da Vinci wants to track the amount of filament used (and I like that), but it seems weird that it will refuse to print, and that the amount used seems to be pretty inaccurate.

This is very typical of davinci behavior.
not sure if they place a bit extra on the roll or the counter over estimates usage . but typical to have some left over when the counter hits zero.

Re: Filament Spools with Filament say 0m

when you get down to a couple of metres left, reserve the roll for a bigger print, it will carry on printing past 0m if its already running.
