Topic: Davinci 1.0A power supply outputs

Currently starting the conversion over to RAMPS 1.4 by virtue of MKS GEN V1.4 board.

My question is- what power outputs are needed?

I no longer need the opto endstops (TMC2130 drivers) so I assume I do not need the 3.3V or 5V (unless for lighting or fans)?

The Power supply states:
+3.3V @ 12A
+5V   @ 14A
+12V  @ 15A
-12V  @0.3A
+5Vsb @2.0A

Mostly stock mechanicals, E3DV6 and additional cooing fan.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Re: Davinci 1.0A power supply outputs

If you are going to RAMPS all you will need is 12 volts. I did not use stock lighting when I swapped mine, I used LED strips which ran on 12 volts and mounted on both sides for better lighting. I believe the stock lights run on 5 volts.

Thanks Carl!

I assume I connect all 12V and all GND to the one inlet...?

3 yellows (I assume 12V)
3 black ( assumed GND)
and the rest are unused

That is correct. Just tape the others up to avoid them shorting on anything. The only issue is you may need to upgrade the supply to a higher wattage one as the RAMPS seems to need more current to heat the bed. Keep in mind the RAMPS has two power inputs. One for it's power and one for bed heater power. You will need to make jumpers to bring the power from the main power side over to the bed power side as well.

Hmmm... I think I will try to keep the original wiring divisions and see how it fairs.

On a side note- I have found the pinouts for the steppers, but am unsure of the orientation of those diagrams. Shaft towards you, or away?
