Topic: 1.0 repetier displays REF

My printer stopped feeding in the middle of a print yesterday and I canceled the print.  I took the printer apart and cleaned the feed gear and put everything back together.  The display say "DEF" on the display for the hot end temperature, but octoprint displays what appears to be the correct temperature.  I am running repetier cf on the printer. Does anyone have any ideas why it is doing this?  I have checked all the connections.

Thanks

Re: 1.0 repetier displays REF

If memory serves me correctly, it sounds like a thermistor and/or wiring issue.

Re: 1.0 repetier displays REF

if octoprint displays what appears to be the correct temperature but the display say "DEF" on the display for the hot end temperature, turn off power for print and wait for 1 minute and turn back on, it should display the correct temperature.

This usually happens when the themostates are disconnected for short time while machines is powered on. If this happens again without messing with hotend, you need to check thermistor wiring.
