Can you clean the bed with windex or maybe rubbing alcohol?

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

Anything that will dissolve oils and not leave any kind of non=stick residue should be fine, yes windex or rubbing alcohol will work fine if you don't have any acetone around. Although acetone works the best from my experience.

I use hand sanitizer with wonderful success.  It leaves a sludge after a while but I just run a putty knife over it and clear it off to reapply hairspray.  Simple and clean, and not a dangerous chemical to have in the house with the kids around like acetone.

Iso is alright, but acetone is better because it dissolves any abs thats just stuck around.

Most of the time I just use my finger and I can feel any high points if there's something left on there.
