keep in mind the suggested temps will not work with a SD...

Why is that? Is there an error in how either the SD or RepRap temperature?

The layout of each printer and hot end is slightly different.  If the thermister is not in precisely the same location as the heating element on both printers, the reported temperatures will differ from the actual by different amounts.

Ian just posted a link in another thread to RepRap Magazine Issue #1 which has a slicer comparison in it as well. I haven't checked this out yet.
