Topic: Weird 2nd layer issue

Toying with settings on Da Vinci 1.0A Repetier with the XYZ ABS, the first layer seems to go down well, but the 2nd layer  seems have an issue bonding to the 1st, and seeming after that the layers are all ok. (still working on surface finish) Ive used 210 all the way to 230 extruder temp, but all seem the same, Using .3mm layer thickness seems to give best results .2 and .1 seem to give clumpy layers in the top half of the print. Bed temp was at 110.

Thanks for any pointers!

Re: Weird 2nd layer issue

I use 230C/85C and get good result. Make sure you turn off fan when you slice your model. ABS print don't need fan and air circulation is bad for ABS printing. First layer usually prints slower than other layer. if you have fan blow to it, it will shrink more and faster than other layers
