I am pretty new at this and i printed a small object the other day without any problems but now i get this when i started printing a bigger box.

I use ABS plastic and i just use excellent printing with high fill (50%)
Is the bed to warm or something else?

Re: What is wrong here?

Well it seems that moving around the printer have gotten the calibration gone haywire.
Now i have to calibrate it again which i am NOT good at and cant find any useful guides to it

Re: What is wrong here?

Look here in the Da vinci section.. There is sticky on bed leveling but it applies to all printers.

Re: What is wrong here?

Yeah well im pretty sure my printer is broken. It can differ to almost a 150 from each calibration and that is WITHOUT touching the dials.
So doing nothing and it still gives different numbers. Well im certain its dead and done for. sad

If you ran the calibration process I specified then you would not know what the printer is reporting as you will never use the built in procedure again. After all it is faulty.

Re: What is wrong here?

I used to have the same problem when starting out with the da vinci then I used Carl's method and never looked back.

Re: What is wrong here?

Sorry guys i only just skimmed the article while i ran the second test. The one where i didnt adjust anything and then showed me something way off.
I will try this when i go home. But isnt a piece of paper too thin?

The paper method is a standard method used by many people.
The thickness of a piece of paper is pretty much the correct distance between nozzle and bed to get a good first layer that sticks well.
You might need to make tiny adjustments to the bed to get it just right but paper will get you close enough to begin with if it's not exactly right first time.

Re: What is wrong here?

I must say thank you for linking that guide Carl. I have no idea what the F.. those people tried to accomplish with that built in calibration.
I am sorry i quickly skipped it. But it prints perfectly now. smile

Re: What is wrong here?

No problem, that's why I wrote it up. i had a 1.0 once and it was Hell using their method. I had other printers so I said forget XYZ and calibrated the 1.0 the same way you do other printers and worked great.

Re: What is wrong here?

I tried the calibration once, their method was so counter intuitive that it just got worse. I too now just do the method mentioned above, much easier and works well.
