Topic: Spare ink on used spools

Hi, I've been using and XYZ Junior printer which restricts the ink used on cartridges.  As a result I now have a lot of old spools which have quite a bit of PLA ink filament left.  I am thinking of getting another printer which does not restrict ink.  Do you have any suggestions on uses for all my spare ink filament?  Could I somehow use it on another printer?  Given the way XYZ restrict the filament I think their ink works out double the market price.

Re: Spare ink on used spools

I bought a cheap 3d pen with the same size filament as my printer as a way of using up my spare filament, it certainly does the job of using up the spare, now all I need to do is use it more often so that I can keep up with the spare filament left over.
one other trick I learned was that if I set a print up that uses more filament than it says it has left it will complete the print even after it says it has run out of filament, so for example I had 20m of filament left and printed a job that required 24m which it completed - even after sending a warning that it had run out.
