Topic: Filawinder operation

In the Filawinder documentation it mentions the filament trying to push behind the nozzle and I'm wondering what it means by this. Could someone explain it to me?

Re: Filawinder operation

It's behind relative to the winder.  So if the Filastruder is on the left and the Filawinder is on the right, the filament might start to bend to the left as it comes out of the nozzle, away from the winder.  It's important to keep the filament coming out straight, or at a consistent angle while it is partially melted.  Any changes there will become changes in the curve of the filament, and when those changes reach the winder, it will push the filament around at the nozzle creating more changes.   If you can keep the path of the filament constant long enough for a single point to travel from extruder to winder, it should stay stable from then on.
