Topic: E3d V6 thermistor table?

I just installed a genuine E3d V6 in my Advancing 1.0a flashed with Repeater. 92. I can not seem to find a straight on the topic of the thermistor settings. Some places it says I need to change the settings in the firmware,  some say I need do change a resistor on the motherboard, and some say to just leave the settings where they are. Can anyone help me out? I am using the new thermistor that came with the E3d V6.

Davinci board is not RAMPS board so usual change won't work -
#define EXT0_TEMPSENSOR_TYPE 8 is not the solution

I don't know if this helps but I am going through a ramps upgrade on my printer.  I found that the circuit board in the stock print head contains the pull up resistor for the thermistor.  I was getting incorrect temp reading until I used their resistors.  I am not sure what ohms they are.
