Topic: PLA prototypes for Business!

How long will a PLA prototype last both on a desk and in the woods?  Abs will last pretty much forever, but I want to move towards developing green products. 

I can charge someone for a prototype however, if ot is jiat going to become weak and brittle 6 months from now.

So, how long do PLA prototypes last in the real world?  Also, whats the best PLA source.

Have a search around on the reprap wiki/forums. When I did so the results seemed to indicate that unless decent heat or moisture were encountered, the plastic was very stable.

This is true, though I suppose rain/humidity might make things a bit worse.
