Topic: Davinci 1.0/Duo Repair Questions

I have a problem with my Davinci Duo running Repetier 0.92 and wanted to draw on the intelligence of the crowd for help fixing:

- I'm currently getting the "heater decoupled" issue. Verified my thermistors are working properly, cleaned everything and reconnected. Seems like I need to replace the heating element connector, ordered some Deans connectors and will wire those in.

- assuming the above doesn't work, next step is to replace the heating element. Does anyone know the specs on the heating element or (ideally) a link to an appropriate heating element?

- if the above two don't work, I assume there's likely a fuse blown. Anyone know if this is replaceable? If so, any instructions available?

- lastly, have any Duo owners upgraded to different hot ends? Ideally E3Ds? Note I'm interested in upgrading both hot ends at the same time. Has anyone documented the process and their experiences?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Davinci 1.0/Duo Repair Questions

It's just a standard 12 volt heater cartridge that is commonly used in this hobby. An eBay search will yield great results.  It should be the lower 20 to 25 watt model.

IN regards to the fuse,  it is actually a surface mount zero ohm resistor and will require comfortable skills in surface mount soldering.
