Topic: Say Goodbye to Calibration! Or not......

So according to the specs for the Davinci Jr it says you don't need to calibrate it.

Say Goodbye
to Calibration!
Calibrating your 3D printer for your prints can be a huge pain, but now with the da Vinci Jr. you no longer have to! This simple and easy-to-use 3D printer requires no calibration and also a new auto-loading filament system for an easy, more convenient, 3D printing experience.

Yes on the website there is a video which explains how to calibrate the x & z axis.

Is this printer calibration free or not? I presumed it would have a probe to help with levelling the bed but it appears not.

Re: Say Goodbye to Calibration! Or not......

The z axis adjustment appears to be for changing the z offset as opposed to calibrating or bed levelling as it's more commonly known.
Bed calibrating on other Davinci models involves adjusting 3 screws on the underside of the bed to get the correct height at every position on the bed.
The auto calibration on these models does this by taking readings of the height at various positions on the bed and telling you how much to adjust each screw.
I could be wrong but I don't see this procedure mentioned with the Jr.
