Topic: First 3D print - what's wrong with base?

Tried to print the xyz Keychain and vase.
But having problems with first layer sticking to heated bed.

Are you printing with a raft? What are you using to aid sticking? Have you calibrated the bed per the manual procedure that is a sticky here in the XYZ section? The auto method uses the wrong values and sets your bed to the wrong height. Contrary to what the manual says, you DO have to calibrate even a new printer.

No raft, just went under utilities - sample print.
Sticking- glue stick that was provided
Calibration- using auto calibration and http://ddd.stefanomenci.com

Will manual calibration work better?
