Topic: Davinci 2.0a help please

Hi everyone,

I have just purchased a Davinci 2.0a printer to prototype a design for a friend of mine.
After trying to print the rather complex shape, I have ran into a few issues that are stopping me from achieving this. Any help would be appreciated.

1. The second extruder head runs into the shape if i orientate the object accross the bed so when it crosses its path it knocks the initial supports causing them to come detached from teh printing bed. To get around this i have had to orientate the object so it extrudes downward without the second extruding head crossing its path. Does this mean a printing bed callibration is required? and if so, any tips?

2. This morning i sat down to have another go at printing the object, and now the printing bed wont heat up when the job is recieved, but it will heat up on start up of the printer if i put auto heat on. This doesnt help with the printing so for now I cannot print anything at all. Suggestions? I am close to taking the printer back for warrenty.

Regards,
Beamer.

First lets go back and delete your multiple post. Then have a little patience when posting as this server is slow to update.

Now for your problem...

For the Nozzle issue you must make sure both nozzles are level by adjusting them using the nut that secures the feed tube to the heat brake.  for the heating problem you need to make sure that your software, and slicer are all set for the same temps.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
