Topic: MARLIN

Hi everyone

i  just got  a Prusa  i3 and it  has  Marlin_Prusa  i3  RepRap  pt 1.3
everything worked fine, but when updated to  marlin 1.1.0-RC3
and  start  printing everything  runs fine until the fan   starts   and   the  hot end temp drops  and i  get  a thermal runaway  and it shuts  down never   happened  with the Prusa  i3  RepRap  pt 1.3

so  whats  the most stable marlin to use and is  this a bug in  the software

Re: MARLIN

Do you have all the settings in the new version set that same as your original in the configuration.h tab? Also not sure why you would change from a version tuned for your machine to a general version not tuned for any specific machine.

In the 3D printing world you will learn real fast that new is not always better when it comes to host software and firmware.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Re: MARLIN

you need to change the settings in your host program as well
IN RH  it is under Config/ printer Settings / extruder
It can be confusing as there are several sets of settings to look at Marlin  Firware / Repitier  hos and the slicer or slicers you are using
