Topic: Nozzle hitting screw

This conversation is also posted here http://www.thingiverse.com/groups/da-vinci/topic:6729, I am hoping to get clarity

G1 Z5 F1500; lowers the bed
G1 X0 Y15 F1000; moves to a point that should be away from the screw
G1 X5 Y30 F1000

purge line should start away from screw but it appears the bed raises up so that the nozzle is on the screw or behind it and then moves forward and begins the purge line
G1 Z[first_layer_height] F4800.000
G1 X5 Y175 E14 F1000
G1 X32 Y190 F1000

If I load this code in Repetier Host I expect to see what it is showing, what I see is the line in red

This should also clear the screw and transition straight to the purge line right?

Re: Nozzle hitting screw

Why not just start a print with a skirt instead of the purge line ?

Just a note,  the Da Vinci is the only printer to my knowledge that does the purgeline aside from Makerbots.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Although I was able to figure out this issue, sort of, I may move away from the purge line. Thanks
