Topic: Resistance versus temperature plot

http://soliforum.com/i/?gAeJOYQ.jpgPerformed a temperature versus resistance plot for the thermistor used in the hot end for my DaVinci 1.0A. Plotted a 100 k ohm NTC 3950 the DaVinci curve fairly similar to the 3950.

Re: Resistance versus temperature plot

As previously posted a plot temperature versus resistance for the DaVinci thermistor for my 1.0A. I also did a similar plot for a 100k NTC 3950 thermistor. The two plots were very similar but based on the plots similarity doesn't verify the DaVinci thermistor is a 100k NTC 3950. Next I did a voltage divider using a 100k resistor in series with the DaVinci thermistor across two AA batteries in series give a voltage of 3.208 vdc. Varied the hot end temperature from 140 degrees C to 245 degrees C and measured the voltage drops across the DaVinci thermistor and the 100k resistor. Had a micro amp meter in the circuit recorded the current with the voltage drops and calculated the resistance of the thermistor. Based on the results it shows a similarity between the DaVinci thermistor and a 100k NTC 3950 thermistor. Attached a tt ached are 4 papers (2 plots, 1 recorded voltage drops and calculated resistance, 1 calculated current).http://soliforum.com/i/?C3RaIX5.jpghttp://soliforum.com/i/?CoCmf1p.jpghttp://soliforum.com/i/?mhhpHXN.jpghttp://soliforum.com/i/?48VzNdd.jpg
