Topic: Pre heater

This is a prototype preheater using spare parts for my old filastruder .It is set to 180C and so far it has reduced the load on the motor from 1.1 amps tp .9A .Time will tell if it is worth it ,decreases startup time significantly .Cheers Phill

Re: Pre heater

Do you get faster filament extrusion with this modification?

Re: Pre heater

I have run this arrangement for  6 hours with ABS MG 94 at 193 C and 183 C  on the pipe, I  got 700 grms 1.71+- .03 mm.I feel that I have an  increased flow and consistency and stopped the jams at the nozzle I was getting .I am happy with this speed, but you can increase it  more if you wish but I feel the quality drops off .
