Yeah we're pretty lucky, the government nearly adopted the Auz rules a decade or so ago but the builder clubs like the hotrod club got together and proposed what is effectively a self regulation system where the group (lvvta) certifies builds like this to be road legal.

I looked into bulk importing from various places but surprisingly a local place could supply me at $27.50 per Kg ($35 with gst) which was the same price as some of the cheap Chinese places (and no doubt the customs charges would have pushed that up) so i'm all plastic'd up (64 kg all up)
