I don't have a filawinder how do I keep the filament from backing up?
What do you mean by packing up? Without a Filawinder, you just extrude onto the floor and use a drill to spool it. Here's and extreme example:

mine does not want to coil it just a straight line and then it starts bending the extruding filament
That generally means the extruder is not high enough off the floor. What is the distance to the floor, and what diameter filament are you extruding?
1.75 probably about 4 feet
4 feet should be enough. Can you post some photos of your setup?
I can when I get home. Is there a trick to getting it to spool like in that pic?
There's no trick, what you see in the photo is all there is.
what temp should I be using at 180 it seems to barely come out.
That depends on the material you're using, at 180C you should see around 8-12 inches per minute with ABS (assuming you're using a Kickstarter setup, which I think you said you're are?)
ok well wonder if my motor is going bad. It seems really slow. also noticed I had the heat band almost to the front moved it to the back end will try again when I get home to night and see if that made a difference, also adding insolation around the whole shaft
The original Kickstarter motors were the slowest, there are considerably faster motors available now.
but for 70.00 is it really worth it
I guess thats up to you and how fast you'd like to produce filament. The Kickstarter kits were $200, so even with an upgraded motor the total cost is less than a current kit.
I doubt im even geting 6 a min. This is my setup.

That doesn't appear to be MG94. Other types of ABS have different flow rates.
You need to have a clear, unobstructed path from the nozzle to the floor. Letting the filament hit the table is going to cause problems.
Also your filament guide is too far from the nozzle, which causes waviness and kinks.
Well i found the problem. Was not happy with how slow it was so i thought lets see how the 3 nossle does. Well took the 1.7 off and found two huge metal shards took them out now bam. Runs like a dream
