Unrelated, I've seen a number of NFC card dumps that don't list the UID for the card. I think there's a reasonable chance that's used to generate the "password," so would probably be useful to have both the UID and password.

hey vienisas what firmware version do you have, im wondering if they are starting to get different filaments and are starting to eliminate the 210C in the newer firmware's because i tested all possible red combinations and all were set to 191C.  by the way just wanted to point out that the above post is what made it clear on how to find different colors so all cred belongs to you.

thx vienisas,  all of the colors and 300m length were found using the sample in post 477 of this thread. so here is a little explanation about what i have learned so far,

page 8           = material and color/temp
page 9           = limited my original test of white to 200m when using (00 35 41 4D)
page 10 & 11 = total meter capacity (must be the same values in both pages)
page 20         = total meter remaining
pages 21 - 23 ???

so its possible that some people may need to change page 9 in order to obtain the 300m max spool size.

Capturing the password is done at the lowest level, there is NOTHING they can do in the firmware to prohibit capturing the data.

I would assume that the Lifetime number is going up the more you print and not down, correct?

I dumped the EPROM on the extruder. The values reflect 279Hours.

Ill dump again in a while and see the diff.

Am i missing a post here? What can you do with those values on the extruder, and how do you dump these values?

IDK what to do with those values yet. But there is a lifetime of hours stored for the extruder.
I ripped apart the extruder and put a bus pirate on the eprom to get the data.

Stay tuned, at some point it may be important.

@charleshyman Thank you for clarifying that for me.

Well, my printer has about 100 hours more than that, so I'm assuming that it's not a count-down timer. Access to that information seems to have been added after firmware 2.2.2 (not sure if it was introduced in 2.2.3 or 2.2.4). Maybe we'll be able to replace the extruder in the future? Well, I can dream smile .

Just to add. Page 14 is odd and in my case when I let a spool go from 200m to below 150ish I have to decrease the last byte by one for the spool to be rewritten to it's original state of 200m but only when I use more than 50m or so.

Not to back track, but did everyone give up on trying to use paper tags in place of the OEM tags, because I really think that is going to be the end solution for an non tech savvy reset-able method.  Also, has anyone been able to get a dump/write using a phone with a password?? I have yet to have a successful dump with my nexus 6.

I really want to contribute to this but i'm struggling to understand what is going on with all the posts.
I already have a Raspberry Pi and Arduino could someone provide a list of specific hardware and software I would need to reset cards? Then once I understand it and can do it myself I will see if I have any ideas on making the process easier.

i am a noob and was able to do with some help from the boards but it looks like you still need an NFC writer for the arduino and a logic analyzer (i used this http://www.amazon.com/Logic-Analyzer-De … +analyzer) combined it should be about $65-70 from amazon.

then just follow the directions posted on the board if you have more questions pm me and i will help as much as i can.

So i finally found an android app which will read and write the card successfully permitting that you have the key for your tag.  There may be others out there but this is the only one that i could get to work.

I should note that the the page numbering on this app is done in HEX rather than Decimal.  So in order to change your spool length with this app you would write
page number 0A             
data content E0930400
page number 0B
data content E0930400
page number 14
data content E0930400
