Topic: Extruder error.Heating failed

Just completed 3D printer build.Running Arduino on board and pronterface to drive printer.The extruder heats up when using LCD control panel but when trying to calibrate extruder using pronterface will only heat uo to 40c and then throws error Heating failed?Heat bed heats up OK.Any suggestions where to start.

Don't use Pronterface. It is old and outdated and no longer supported. Use Repetier host. If it works fine with an SD card then the printer is not the issue.

... i still use pronterface with no problems.
