Topic: Difference between home-made filaments and market available filaments?

Has anyone tried looking at the difference between home-made filaments and market available filaments (filaments you can buy online).

I am quite conscious of how my part is made and would like the best quality available at an affordable.

Like is there someone who has made the same part from these filaments and compared them in terms of dimensions?

Homemade filament can be the same or better than commercial filament. Filastruder users report +/-0.01mm filament tolerances, it really doesn't get better than that. For comparison, Hatchbox filament (4.6/5 stars on Amazon) is +/-0.05mm.
