Topic: ABS plastic vs Heat & chemicals?
So I am still in the process of deciding if and when and which 3D printer I want to get.
I have been trying to come up with all the places and things I can make with it. One is my Motorized Bicycle. Yes you read that right, I put a 49cc engine on a mountain bike.
Why? Because I have an engineering mind and need to tinker and create. I get a top speed of 35 mph and get over 150 mpg!
So would I be able to produce parts that are in contact with fuel such as the air intake. It doesn't get fuel directly in it but some does get into it from the carb. I don't want the fuel to eat through my creation.
Also heat, how well does this plastic do with heat, what is the maximum conditions it should be exposed to?
