Re: Lasers not working, Usb not written to...
Betorango,
Would you like us to send you a new WiFi adapter to see if there is a hardware issue? Do you have another one that you can try?

Uriah

Hello
I can borrow this to test the wifi.. however I believe the wifi is correctly working since the wifi dongle does in fact detect the diffrent providers.. JACKY at home , betored as my hotspot, Moldex1 as my work wifi...
anyway can you check to see if the sd card i burned has the required driver for this..

Also if the energy/voltage requirements match those of the pi
Thanks again
The below post is a little old, but it suggest that your WiFi dongle should be just fine on the Raspberry Pi.

Awesome will try it tomorrow
It says something about the self powered hub... is there a particular hub that i should connect to?
Thanks
Beto
Raspberry Pi has a lower amount of power that it can deliver to USB than a standard PC can. Looking in your screenshots above it appears that you have at least a keyboard and another device connected to the USB. Please disconnect everything except for the flash drive and WiFi adapter and see if your results are the same. If so, please run the following command from a command line and paste the last 50 or so lines here.
dmesg- Uriah
Actually, you can copy/paste the text displayed when you click "Show Details" on the config page.
Used my new wifi adapter..
got a new sadder message...
now it was not even detecting my wifi...when the wifi net JACKY is obviously connected...
so I went back to the original dongle..
and connected to a new hdmi screen which was better suited to using the raspian software.
Went back and foth in the settings and having read something about some upping their memory to 192 i did the same... tried my wifi over and over but it simply did not hold on to the password although it always detected my network.. did this about 6 times more out of frustration than with any hope that it would work, and suddently it connected...
it just did...it accepted the same password to the same network it had refused previously.. so perhaps something to do with the memory? or just coincidence.
So I turned it off.. and turned it on and it connected again. Did it 4 times and it connected perfectly.
So I tried an un centered, un calibrated, un everything scan... just to see if it would do it...
Probably a new myriad of questions will follow...
tried to click on the upsate file (assume frelss will turn into atlas3d software or something) inserted my serial number, saved and got no update available... is that normal or should my software have somehow been updated?
You already have the latest version of the software. I am glad you were finally able to connect.
Thank you hairu, elmoret and C_D for your help...
now to get this calibrated and scanning...
No problem. Let me know if you need additional help.
