Topic: printing something bigger than bed size
Has anyone ever printing something by parts and than glue it together? I was interesting in maybe trying to print a helmet and toy gun. But was wondering what's the best technique.

I am currently printing a 12th scale rc model of Thrust SSC in 200mm sections (its a pattern which will be used to make a mould). Sections glued together using superglue which happens to work great on PLA.

I think most people do this at some point. Some models just won't fit on the bed. Many items are broken down already into parts. Even if something fits on the printer, depending on its complexity, I would prefer to print in parts in case something doesn't print right.
thanks for the information
