Topic: Filawinder Motor Issues

I recently put together a Filawinder kit, have successfully been running over the last 2 weeks - auto sensing and or manual control of the motor working as expected. Today while extruding and auto winding the Filewainder motor switched into continues max speed, the potentiometer dial had no effect. The following is my trouble shooting steps:
1. checked the potentiometer with multimeter - 47.22K to 0.82 ohm
2. found a micro switch on the board - pressing flashes a red led light (motor continues to run at max speed)
3. switch on and off the auto option - made no difference (motor continues to run at max speed)
4. power off and on - made no difference (motor continues to run at max speed)
5. servo still works
6. laser beam active

Not sure what else I can do, appreciate any help.

Re-read the doco and found the debug option, installed a jumper on the pins next to the 3mm pins, connected the Filawinder usb port to my computer, power up the Filawinder, ran Arduino, the debug screen showed all devices are working correctly, and you guest it, the motor started to work as expected. So I powered down the Filawinder, disconnected the usb port, removed the debug jumper, then powered up the Filawinder and behold the motor is still working as expected - as long as it's working I'm happy - maybe the debug has reset something.
