Topic: SD2 or SD3

I am going to be ordering in just a week or two now, I notice that the SD3 is pretty well on its way to full production. That being said I am a complete novice to this and I was wondering a few things about the differences.

The solidoodle 3 has no pro or expert options, does it come with a heated bed? Does it have the interior lighting? I don't care about the case.

If you were going to recomend to a newbie would you recomend SD2 or SD3. I really would like the bigger space, but not at teh cost of simplicity. Also are the mechanics the same IE are the printable upgrades so gernerously provided byt his community going to work on the SD3?

I understand that this company is just getting started and I want to support them so I will be buying one, I just don't know which one. I would like to know how many people are ahed of me in my order too.

If you can afford either, get the SD3.  It has heated build platform, and most people end up using plexiglass / acryllic as a case, you'll want to enclose your build environment to help with some of the issues that cooling can cause.  Most of the upgrades should work with both, but if they don't someone will redesign and upload a working version before you're ready to upgrade.

The only actual difference is the size.
