Topic: Printer Out Of Filament?

Hello all just finish flashed Repetier Firmware 0.92 and upgrade to E3Dv6 while I was at it everything is working great minus 1 thing Ill start a print and shortly after it says I'm out of filament.  So I have the filament running through the break out board so the optic could see it also tried running it out side and just keeping a piece of filament in there with no luck.  I have looked through the settings and cant find a thing on it and trolled the net for answers which lead me here.  Is there Gcode the I need to change do I still need to run a reset cartridge or is there a way to do away with optic?  Sorry for the dumb questions but new to this stuff and thank you in advance for at least reading my post.

On the LCD, go into 'advanced', 'settings' then set 'fil. sensors' to off.
