Topic: Flashed Da Vinci 1.0 -> Error

Hey everyone,

I flashed my Da Vinci 1.0 last night, following all steps and changing all what needed to be changed in the files. Since, I tried printing a few files and I keep getting the following error.

"Extruder has no filament! Push OK to go to change filament"

Problem being, I have filament loaded into the Extruder. I have tried unloading/loading the filament again also.

Does anyone know why it is doing this? My other machine that is flashed is working perfectly fine with no problems whatsoever... so I'm dumbfounded as to why this one is doing it.

Thanks, Ryan

Go back into the firmware and disable the filament sensor. Then upload it to the printer again. Sounds like your filament sensor is bad so the firmware is failing it.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

When you say 'upload it to the printer again' what do I need to upload back to the printer? Is it a certain file or the entire Repetier FW?

Thanks, Ryan

Re: Flashed Da Vinci 1.0 -> Error

If you have it flashed as DopeSkrit indicated you can disable the sensor in the settings on the printer.

Curious, what type of filament was it?  I believe if it is a more "transparent" filament the sensor can have difficulty detecting it.

DaVinci 1.0A with Repetier .92
Simplify 3D
