Topic: Test Extruder Fan?
Is there a way to kick on the fan to make sure it's working? I don't see a way in Repetier. I could obviously take it out and test, but I want to make sure the printer is kicking it on.
Thanks.

On a Da Vinci, it runs any time the printer is on as it's purpose is only to cool the extruder neck.
Fan start only if temperature is above 50 degres in normal mode
to have full control using M106/M107 there is an option in FW:
#define REPURPOSE_FAN_TO_COOL_EXTRUSIONS 0 //Setting this to 1 will repurpose the main Extruder cooling fan to be controlled VIA M106/M107
//Warning: for DaVinci 1.0 need to add a permanent fan with power supply to cool extruder
Thanks, all! I did notice it kick on once the extruder heated up. I just wanted to make sure it was working. Thanks again! ![]()
