Just a heads-up for S3D users, new release available now, v3.0

On Mac it is an already an improvement, the interface, mouse movements are much improved! No more "jumping" around, and working fom the first time, unlike the 2.2 version.
Will test the printing tonight ;-)

THanks. I was looking at the D's and should have been looking at the X's. If I keep this printer Im definitely getting this. XYZware is a joke!

It's not great is it.
S3D is in another league compared to xyzware.
Even the speed it slices at blows xyzware out the park.

So I will be receiving a new xyzprinting Duo shortly—is there value to using the included software or should I save myself some hassles and consider Simplify3D from day one? I'm a Mac OS user.

I can't speak for how it works for Mac users, I use Windows 7.0.
I bought a Duo 2.0 last October, then bought Simplify3D version 2.2 last December when it was still $140 and haven't used XYZWare since. I have received 4 free upgrades, each time adding improvements, and am now on version 3.2.
I think this software is well worth the price even at the present higher price.
Today they sent me a link to their web page full of valuable tips on using it that you might want to look at while deciding.

Thanks for the quick response! With the 2 week return policy I guess I don't have too much to lose. I don't need to modify anything with the Duo to use Simplify3D, right?

My Duo is completely original stock firmware and hardware, Simplify3D works with no problems.  Not sure about modified firmware but I suspect that they have that covered as well.
